Situational Humor

Situational Humor is humor that comes from situations that arise in life. Sitcoms are great examples of this. According to Jim, is a perfect example. Through this show, you see the story of Jim's life through multiple humorous situations.

Play on words is when words become important as to what they can mean. The above picture is a perfet example of this because of the use of words in the town sign leads the reader to believe the town to be a normal town but when you see the town in front of the sign you relize that the town is actually named for what it has in it; palm trees and springs.

Hyperbole

Hyperboles are figures of speech where exaggeration is used as emphasis. A few examples would be "I am so hungry i could eat a horse", or "I've told you a million times not to exaggerate.

An example of this comedy is the sitcom Two and a Half Men. Charllie, one of the main characters, is considered a 'player' and is always seducing women and is an open alcoholic. Benjamin Crocker

Hello, and welcome to my blog. My name is Benjamin Crocker, but i go by Ben. Many different activities interest me, but a few are more interesting than others. I enjoy playing Xbox 360 as much as possible, as well as watching television. However, I am not just a couch potato, for I love to play baseball and football. I plan to go to the University of Cincinnati at the Clermont branch to study Aviation and Technology.
